Having taught Alex at various points during his time at LIPA he has always struck me as naturally courteous, respectful, engaged and engaging. These are all incredibly important to a career in the music industry and I haven't got to how good he is as a musician yet!. I then had Alex as a 1-2-1 Student and his skill set developed exponentially throughout his time at LIPA. His range includes song writing, recording, mixing, production, pit band, covers and originals. He approaches each project with professionalism, humility, openness and respect. His ability to manage multiple projects and never seem as if he is dropping the ball is impressive. He will ask for advice when needed but will always try and push himself. I can't wait to see what happens to him now that he has graduated.

Since graduating from LIPA, Alex has proved himself as a professional drummer.  He is equally comfortable in a theatre pit, recording studio, club setting or on a concert stage.  He is also skilled in a wide variety of popular genres and enjoys rising to a challenge.

It is my pleasure to recommend Alex Howley. I was lucky enough to meet him on a

4-city tour in Spain in June 2023 playing my repertoire.
